On episode #119 the master himself Glyn O’Brien takes over the podcast, becomes the host and interviews me for a Christmas Special (what’s this world coming to). Glyn reached out and asked if I would be up to doing some sort of Christmas special for the podcast and he came up with the idea of him interviewing me. I was up for it but to be totally honest, I was instantly nervous. This is something I have never really done before and especially on my own show. But considering it was the man himself Mr Glyn O’Brien, I knew I was in good hands.

Andrew McAvoy – The man behind the trail riding YouTube channel McTrail Rider

On episode #118 it is great to get Andrew on the show from his very popular YouTube channel McTrail Rider. I had watched a number of Andrew’s video’s a few months ago and really enjoyed them, but never really thought too much more about it. That was until Nathan McComb got in contact and said I really should get Andrew on the podcast. Andrew was visiting Enduro Malaga, Nathan’s MTB guiding business with Brian Kennedy off his YouTube channel BKXC, and I knew with Nathan’s recommendation I had to reach out and ask Andrew to come on the show.

On episode #117 we chat with Alfie Wallace the founder and owner of Expert Cycles based out of Rathfarnham, Dublin. Expert Cycles has been open for around fifteen years and have been providing their local mountain bike scene with top brands and excellent service since that time. Alfie decided to open the shop due to the recession hitting. Now you may think this is a strange time to be opening a new business but things were changing in Ireland due to the recession and Alfie decided the time was right to make a move and do something he was passionate about.

Jan and Lena – We chat with the Founders and Owners of Dirtlej AKA Dirt Suit, about playing in the dirt and staying warm and dry in our winter conditions.

On episode #115 we are chatting with Jan and Lena the founders and owners of Dirtlej. You may know Dirtlej better as the company that makes the Dirt Suit, the onesie that keeps you dry, warm and confortable in our dirty wet winter conditions. On episode #113 we are chatting with Hannah Mullan and her dad Kristian. I wanted to get both Hannah and Kristian on the show, one to chat about how Hannah’s race season has been going (I will let you into a little secret…it has been very good) but also to chat with Kristian as a parent and what sacrifices it takes to support Hannah’s very full race calendar. Now, if you wanted to race every weekend in Ireland and Northern Ireland over the racing season, you could. The calendar is packed with everything form Cross Country to Downhill and even though most riders will only participate in one category, their weekend calendar of racing will still be pretty full.

Nathan ‘The Lizard’ McComb – Founder and Owner of Enduro Malaga

In today’s episode #109 we are chatting to Nathan McComb, a.k.a ‘The Lizard’. Nathan is originally from Castlewellan, Co. Down, but has been living in Malaga, Spain, for the last number of years. Nathan is well known for his trials style and antics on a mountain bike. So after watching many of his YouTube videos I was very happy to get him on the podcast.

Jason Murphy – Co Founder, Builder and Inspiration Behind Shronaboy Farm Bike Trails

On episode #108 we are chatting with Jason Murphy. Jason is the driving force behind the Shronaboy Farm Bike Trails that seem to have arrived on this small island of Ireland overnight. I hadn’t really heard of the Shronaboy Farm Bike Trails until they hosted the Munster Gravity Championships on the 14th July of this year. Robert from Freewheelin.ie reviewed the event on his website (read here) and said I had to get the guys on the podcast, so I took his advise and reached out. Thankfully Jason was kind enough to come on the show and tell us the story about how the trails came into being, what was the driving force behind stepping out and taking a risk building a trail centre in Killarney, Co.Kerry and how with the help of a few key people it quickly came together and quickly became the place to be.
